Seeds
are the starting blocks of plant life. The birds and the bees are
to plant reproduction what Barry White is to passion. Insects inspire
fertilization in the plant kingdom by dropping and pollinating the
seeds - lovemaking for leaves if you like. What we're really talking
about here is botanical reproduction. A seed, just like a human
embryo, is the result of sexual process.
When
a plant is fertilized, seeds begin to grown within the flower -
the potential for new plant life. When ripe, a dry fruit will open
and scatter its seeds; a fleshy fruit is digested by animals and
released in their fecal matter. The circle of plant life continues
when tons of fruits splash on the earth each year, raining millions
of seeds onto the ground.
